Art can help children befriend math and math in turn becomes crucial for some arts.  In this talk, we will explore how we can blur the line between art and math in classrooms.  In particular, we would look into topics within the syllabus that allows this at the elementary level and may be even beyond that.  We will suggest various activities that teachers can try out in their classrooms and will discuss how they can foster an understanding of math.

She is a B.Stat-M.Stat from Indian Statistical Institute and an MS in math from University of Washington, Seattle.
