Integrating Art in Education: Language

EXCERPT
Language: Art as much as it being a form of a communicative medium is also an expression that is embedded in our ways of experiencing the world through our senses. Language too, is a form that embodies our means to communicate to each other whether it is gestural, auditory (spoken) or visual (written).

Art as much as it being a form of a communicative medium is also an expression that is embedded in our ways of experiencing the world through our senses. Language too, is a form that embodies our means to communicate to each other whether it is gestural, auditory (spoken) or visual (written). Children have a wonderful capacity to immerse themselves in a fictional world of the imagination. Art and language, I believe, emerges in this playful manner, when a child chooses to explore with materials how their ideas and feelings can be experimented with and shaped by means of expression.
